About
Hey!
I'm currently a grad student at UIC, pursuing my Masters in Computer Science and my main focus is databases and systems! I am also currently working as a Fullstack developer at SA Tech at UIC.
My love for computers began when I got the chance to break my home laptop when I was in school - hard deleting windows and corrupting the storage system in the pursuit of installing linux into the laptop. My main interests made a lot of pivots from special relativity in Physics (Fun Article: Entropy Explained, With Sheep) to Conics in Maths, to eventually building out consistent distributed systems using consensus algorithms. Which eventually became my first published paper as a leading author. I've previously worked at Schneider for about three years wearing multiple hats of being a Search Engineer, Database Designer and Engineer and briefly a fullstack developer as an internal side-gig.
I am a very strong believer of being 'jackass of all trades'. Really takes the pressure off of being a jack. One doesn't need to be good to have their neurons firing up when it makes a connection from something completely obscure. Outside of CompSci, I love playing sports, photography and reading. Much to my mother's dismay, I've become a coffee enthusiast in the past couple of years - Brewing, percolating, and steaming milk; I've learnt it all.
If you've ever spoken to me in the past, you know I can nerd out about anything and everything. If there's something you want to discuss, collaborate or have it run by me once, do connect :)
Welcome to my digital home on the internet. Consider this as a timeline and my space to openly learn and relearn things about life. Cheers!
